Both Celtic and Bayern warmed up for the first leg this week with comfortable wins with Celtic easing past Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup and Bayern proving to be too strong for Werder Bremen.
But Bayern are unlikely to be able to call upon £47.5 million star Palhinha, who missed their Friday night game with flu.

Meanwhile, coach Vincent Kompany spoke about the readiness of the Bavarians, saying: ‘We are now starting to have several players return from injuries.’
‘We’ve a lot of players ready to come back. We have Serge Gnabry, Hiroki Ito and maybe Alphonso Davies coming back this week. We have a team for this game.’
